'The English Dancing Master' was published in 1651, and contained the melodies to accompany 105 dances. The melodies were traditional, and were collected and published by John Playford. I arranged these five dances for the 2012 Easy Recorder Playing for Adults course, and so they are straightforward to play. But they are still great tunes, and even more advanced groups may find them entertaining, especially if they perform them briskly, perhaps with added percussion.
